Medical-Legal Partnership Website & Extranet

Challenge

Medical-Legal Partnership's (MLP) website was very plain.  They were rebranding, wanted to update their site's design, extend their content offering and give members of their network a place to come to find standardized documents.

Solution

MLP's new website is visually attractive and an extensive resource about the organization, the network and their accomplishments.
  • Home Page – MLP is able to feature their most important in an engaging manner including content slideshow.
  • Patient-Client Stories – Powerful stories that conveys the importance of their everyday work.
  • Network Map – Interactive map which plots all 160 hospitals and health centers in the network.  The data is fed to the Flash map through an XML view produced by Drupal.
  • Network Site Profile Page – Each of the network sites have their own page in the network directory which features any content attributed to the site – including patient-clients stories, resources, news and employment opportunities.
  • Resource Directory – Members of the MLP network can create accounts in order to contribute to and benefit from an extensive resource library.  Resources are cross-referenced by several different categories allowing the user to filter the directory for their area of interest.  While the resources in the Resource Library are only available to members who are logged into the website, a summary of each resource is publicly available in order to show the value of becoming a member and extending their content reach into search engines such as Google.
  • Resource Submission Workflow – A notification system was implemented to let the editor know when a resources was posted so that they may review it, make any needed content changes and then publish it for the whole community to see.
